About the Journal

Human Rights in the Global South (HRGS) is a peer-reviewed journal managed by the Indonesian Association of Human Rights Lecturers or Serikat Pengajar HAM Indonesia (SEPAHAM Indonesia). This journal's focus and direction are related to respecting and protecting human rights in Global South countries and beyond. Global South terminology in the journal follows the growing dynamics of developing countries concerning multiple aspects. Thus, human rights issues that need to be covered are becoming more varied. This journal encourages the advancement of human rights discourse through scientific writings that are accessible online without any charge and will be published twice a year. Therefore, the journal can be reached by the broadest range of readers and accommodate as many human rights issues as possible.
